Our Story

In the beginning.... 2003 Nancy Briggs Guilmette opened C'est Cheese after a trip in 2001 to the picturesque region of Brittany, France. Her vision of creating an enchanting cheese and wine  shop with  European charm and the gourmet flare of the quaint shops of France was a SUCCESS!! Nancy filled the store with cheese, wine  and gourmet products from around the globe. She also made it a priority to staff the store with knowledgeable and friendly people to help guide customers with their cheese experience!

Sadly, in February of 2022, we lost our Matriarch of cheese. 
Long time employees Nancy Power and Carolyn Heps Shaw stepped in and bought the shop. Keeping the concept of C'est Cheese being a tasting store, the transition  was seamless and  received so well by the community! In fall of 2024 Nancy Power stepped down in an ownership role. She remains our in house Wine Expert and Cheese Aficionado behind the counter. 

 November 2024    The traditions in the store remain, but the LOCATION has changed!... We have moved to 845 Lafayette Rd in Hampton, NH! All are welcome to come in and taste cheese  to their hearts content! We also make outstanding Charcuterie boards whether it's a quiet night alone for one or a party for 100, we can accommodate your requests!  Gift baskets and gift certificates are available for any and all occasions! 

NEW ADDITIONS..... We have taken the time to listen to what our customers have been asking for, so we have a WINE BAR in the new location and extended our menu! We have also added an EVENT ROOM, for private tastings, book clubs, company meetings, sky's the limit for what can be done here!
